The Cycle Network
The FIKS Cycle Network (fietsknooppuntennetwerk) is an ideal way of planning your own route, even on the spur of the moment. You can pick a route from the network of signposted and numbered cycle routes using your cycle route planner, and follow it in your own time. If you want to change routes, that´s easy too: you just choose a different route number. The FIKS Cycle Network is extremely well organised and takes you along the loveliest roads and cycle paths. There are also themed tours that take you past specific sights like the bunkers from the Second World War, the flowering fruit trees in the Zak van Zuid-Beveland area and the magnificent Delta Works.

Tips for cyclists
There is so much to explore in Zeeland but perhaps you only have time for one day trip. If that´s the case, why not try one of these two popular cycle routes: De Kapelletjesroute (The Chapel Tour) in Oost Zeeuws-Vlaanderen (Eastern Zeelandic-Flanders) which leads you past small chapels that are dedicated to the Virgin Mary and function as a silent homage. The second route is great for the spring: De Bloesemroute(The Blossom Tour) in the Zak van Zuid-Beveland area. In May, the area comes alive with flowering fruit trees.
